About us
Singer-songwriter/ bandleader DANIEL GRAU brings an infectious positivity to every show and rehearsal. His songwriting, specially his lyrics, cover a range of emotions, closely resembling work from Tom Waits, The Clash, Operation Ivy and Billy Joel. But most of all, Daniel’s songs are energetic, up lifting and kind.
Dynamic drummer HEATHER ‘H-Bomb’ CLARK is a fierce female drummer and a positive member of RSR. She came upon her solid percussion skill set as a student of legendary Santa Cruz drummer Zack Olsen. She has, truly, got the beat.
Bassist MICHAEL CONWAY is a powerhouse of punk energy. Besides playing with RSR, he also performs as a one-man act, FLOREZ RAIN. https://florezrain.bandcamp.com Michael can be found busking around Cannery Row but also tours nationally, playing punk ACCORDION (!!!).
Trumpeter DAN YOUNG is an in-demand session musician and native of Santa Cruz County. Developing his skills in the famous jazz rock ensembles at Cabrillo College in the early 1970’s, Dan plays with numerous acts, from ska to symphonic, around the Monterey Bay and the SF Bay region. He was a member of the legendary ska-reggae surf band SQUARE ROOTS. Besides performing with RSR, he also appears with the White Album Ensemble, Cement Ship and other groups.
